Zelemenjava is intended for the exchange of garden seedlings, seeds, crops, products and also recipes, books and tips. In a very short time, it has become a real movement that connects lovers of goodies and beauties from the home garden and people who consider healthy nutrition, self-care, preserving home seeds, caring for the environment, solidarity and reducing food waste.
Many of us, in today’s fast life, wish to re-establish contaction with nature. In fact, Zelemenjava encourages everyone to do gardening without exception: gardening gurus or complete beginners, young and old, with a single pot on the balcony as well as those with a kilometer of field.
The main principle of Zelemenjava is that exchange is based on mutual trust and respect, where individuals agree on exchanging relations with each other. At Zelemenjava, goods are exchanged or donated without compensation. We don’t need money, everyone brings what has outgrown the spatial frameworks of home gardening. The surplus can also be donated via the Facebook page FB / Zelemenjava…
Zelemenjava has been taking place since 2012, organized by Darja Fišer, Polona Brajer and Urša Pogačnik. In 2017, we took over the coordination of the platform and All-Slovenian Zelemenjava Pazi! Park, but we are saying goodbye to the coordination and handing it over to the Branch initiative.
