Caring for a Green Future – Maintenance Plan for Prežihov Voranc Primary School

As part of the UrbanOasis project, we have prepared a clear and simple maintenance plan for the newly planted green areas in the schoolyard of Prežihov Voranc Primary School. The plan outlines basic tasks by season for perennials and shrubs, includes a handy checklist, and gives suggestions on how different groups – students, teachers, caretakers, parents and the local community can contribute.
Past projects have shown that regular and well-planned maintenance is essential to ensure that green areas do not remain just a one-time investment, but truly grow and thrive over time.
With this approach, the outdoor classroom and play areas can continue to support nature, play, and learning and serve as an everyday reminder of the importance of climate adaptation in cities.
