Workshop Space for Change: Floods and Urban Design
0 Comment
In our new outdoor classroom, pupils took part in a workshop exploring the link between climate change and spatial planning – with a focus on floods. Through discussion and interactive models, we looked at how green areas help absorb and retain water, how impermeable surfaces increase flood risk, and why the location of buildings matters. The session encouraged students to think critically about how space is designed – and how it shapes our everyday lives and climate resilience.
The workshop was a starting point for reflection on everyday decisions that affect the future of our cities.
Every green space is a step towards a climate-resilient community.
