Škograd visiting Ljubljana
24In collaboration with partners from Serbia – the creative community Škograd, we embarked on creating multifunctional wooden constructions that students of KDK Elementary School will be able to use for sitting, lying, playing, storing bags and clothes, and perhaps more… There were many ideas, but in the end, we opted for an affordable and sustainable solution, creating temporary movable platforms entirely from discarded wooden pallets.
In this endeavor, Mladinska postaja Moste / Youth Station Moste was of great assistance to us, generously lending us a carpentry workshop with all the tools and a stack of discarded pallets for a week. Of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without Dušan Mitić from Belgrade, who helped us bring our vision to life. Dušan graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Belgrade, specializing in painting. He is engaged in painting, sculpture, set design, interior design, decorative lighting, and the creation of artistic and practical objects, primarily from metal and wood. Dušan’s visit was made possible by a mobility grant from Culture Moves Europe and the RE:PLAY project, both co-funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme.
