After finishing her studies of landscape architecture in Ljubljana, she was drawn to the seaside, where she has been working in the field of nature conservation for more than two decades. The sea and trees are her great loves. Through nature conservation guidelines and projects, she raises awernes among decision-makers and spatial planners of the importance of preserving and restoring the natural components of space.
In the context of nature conservation, she devoted herself mainly to the field of strategic communication and implemented several local and international projects in cooperation with a wide variety of stakeholders. In the period of 2016-2020, as a representative of the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Nature Conservation, she co-led the EUSALP Action Group 7 focusing on green infrastructure. She connected with the members of Pazi!park while serving on the executive board of the Slovenian Association of Landscape Architects. Later on she started a cooperation with Pazi!park on preparatio of a publication about exceptional trees in the municipality of Logatec and eventually joined Pazi!park team as she got involved with the RE:PALY project.
Since 2020 she has devoted herself to trees as part of her independent activity as the »White Birch«. She advises local communities and individuals on tree care and landscaping in cities, writes and publishes online, organizes guided walks among the trees and nature days for children. Her wish is for all to grow as individuals and to strengthen our respect for nature and natural components of our living environment as a society.
